Chloe Farrell is a London-based sculptor and painter whose work explores how figurative ceramics can be used to examine the emotional relationship between humans and the natural world in the context of climate breakdown. Drawing on recurring motifs of birds and deer as emblems of broader ecological systems, Farrell invites viewers to reflect on humanity’s anthropocentric separation from nature and the resulting erosion of care, responsibility and respect for forms of life that exist beyond human-centred perception.
A graduate of Central Saint Martins (2024) and a current member of the ACME (ASP) Artists Studio Programme (2025 – 2027), Farrell combines her Fine Art background with sculptural practices to create otherworldly, at times subtly anthropomorphic, depictions of vulnerable creatures suspended between sleep and death. Through these uncanny figures, she seeks to foreground a shared animality between humans and more-than-human species, encouraging deeper reflection on ecological interdependence and the consequences of our growing estrangement from the natural world.
